Obeying The Law Of The Country Or Government
It is according to the law of God that we should follow the governing authorities of our country. We should respect and follow the laws of our nation. We should respect the governing officials. But above the laws of men, we should respect and follow the Laws of our creator, the Lord God Almighty.
In the Holy Scriptures it is written:
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
Romans 13:6-7 (paying taxes)
This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
1 Peter 2:13-15
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
1 Peter 2:17
Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
***But in some instances that we need to chose which one to follow, laws of God or laws of men? If the two contradicts each other, what should we do? This is what the Apostles said:
Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than human beings!
***How reasonable and upright God's law is. If your religion is teaching you not to be subject to your countrys laws, get out of that religion. That religion is not following the laws of the Almighty God.

John 16:13-14 (Words of Christ)
"But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you."
